The Barking Spider mountain bike race is a classic spring opener in Southern Idaho. It is promoted and run by Wild Rockies. This is a good course for first time racers since the climbs are gradual and there aren't too many technical sections. About 45 minutes South West of Boise, the course is easy to get to and is normally dry and ridable year-round.

The 2008 Barking Spider race was held on Saturday, April 12. Visit www.wildrockies.com for more information.
